Tasting Notes
Pale pink with aromas of red berries with hints of orange zest, white flowers and herbs. On the palate, the wine is fresh and dry with an array of juicy red fruits including strawberries and redcurrants. The finish is soft and minerally, with a lingering citrus finish.

Château de l'Escarelle is situated in the heart of Provence between Marseille and Saint Tropez near the pretty village of La Celle. With 100 hectares of organic vines planted at varying altitudes in soil made up mostly of limestone pebbles, the conditions are ideal for producing expressive fine wines and each grape variety has been carefully planted to the best suited plots. With new owners since 2014, the winery is now equipped with the latest-generation presses, a particularly meticulous sorting system and a range of temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats, enabling a very high standard of vinification.
With a blend of 40% Syrah, 30% Grenache and 30% Cinsault, harvest takes place in the early morning when the grapes are at their firmest. The wonderful pale rosé colour comes from the grape skins which, after crushing, are left for a short period before the juice is filtered. It's then all about controlling the temperature and fermentation in stainless steel vats to ensure that the fresh, crisp characters of the wine are kept.
