Bowmore Distillery, established in 1779, is one of Scotland’s oldest distilleries and is located on the shores of Loch Indaal on the island of Islay. It is renowned for producing balanced single malts that combine coastal character with refined peat smoke.
Bowmore 12 Year Old is matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks within the distillery’s historic sea-side warehouses. This environment allows the whisky to develop its signature harmony of gentle smoke, citrus freshness and subtle sweetness.
Serving suggestion: Best enjoyed neat or with a splash of water to open up the citrus and smoke layers. Also works well as a refined introduction to peated Islay whisky.
