The makers describe this as “An Island-born Fearless Spirit” to reflect the people and the environment of the Isle of Barra.
Produced in its entirety on the remote Outer Hebridean Island of Barra, which lies on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, with its unique opportunity to forage from these shores the Carrageen seaweed which provides a bold, maritime flavour, with a mentholic lean and a pinch of salty air.
The distillation method is vapour infused, meaning the botanicals rest on two baskets within the copper still, and as the spirit begins to reach optimum temperature, the vapour that is carried through, passes by our complex mix of 17 botanicals, all weighed to the exact gram beforehand.
As the vapour passes, it softens our botanical and collects the essential oils. before coming out as the finished gin.
