Tasting Notes
This Gran Reserva is ruby red in colour with a complex nose of ripe red fruit, liquorice vanilla oak balsamic, cinnamon, and white pepper.
In the mouth it is rounded and silky with well integrated tannins, with a beautiful balance between the oak and the rich warming flavours of the Tempranillo and Graciano grapes, leading to a long and elegant finish.
About
Navajas Gran Reserva Rioja is made in the Rioja Alta Area from the 3 grape types; Temranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo.
Once fermented, it is aged for 24 months in 3 year old French and American oak barrels where it takes on its lovely velvety vanilla texture.
Finally, it is then further allowed to age in the bottle for 36 months in cellars before release.
