Tasting Notes
La Vicalanda is a garnet red in colour with some purple hues. On the nose are some lovely dark fruits with a warm toastiness and light floral tones.
It is elegant, not too rich, but with a full mouthfeel. A really well structured wine with both body and balance. Hints of balsamic come through the fruits in the finish.

The name La Vicalanda comes from a small farm of 10.5 hectares owned by Bodegas Bilbaínas.
La Vicalanda Reserva, created in 1994 as one of the high expression wines in La Rioja is only produced as Reserva and Gran Reserva in truly exceptional vintage years.
It is a Tempranillo varietal red, from vineyards with vines over 30 years old, applying traditional viticulture with pruning and manual harvest which in turn help to give more colour and a more expressive wine.
La Vicalanda Rioja's have won several awards and sit happily alongside top brands such as Contino and Muga.
