Tasting Notes
Pale straw colour with aromas of citrus, tropical fruits and herby notes. The palate shows ripe tropical/passion fruits and a lovely minerality and vibrant acidity, typical of top New Zealand Sauvignons. Plenty of weight on the palate and a persistent finish, gives a feel of quality and a lot more for your money than other New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs.
About
Originally founded by Kim and Erica Crawford in 1996, they have since sold the winery to the Constellation group, who have protected and continue the Crawfords style of quality and consistency.
With grapes selected from five distinct areas in Marlborough and an average vine age of just 5 to 20 years, Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc shows its youth and just a little petulance with its distinctive flavours and a surprising depth and strength on the palate.
Ideal with...
Not as light as some Sauvignons, Kim Crawford sits comfortably at the dinner table. It stands up on its own and will complement fish dishes, bechamel lemon sauces and other zesty dishes.
