Cloudy Bay is one of New Zealand’s most iconic wineries, founded in 1985 in Marlborough. It played a major role in establishing the global reputation of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and is widely regarded as a reference point for the style.
Winemaking: Grapes are harvested in the cool of the night to preserve freshness and aromatics. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with selected parcels undergoing different handling to enhance texture and complexity before blending.
Vineyards: Sourced from premium vineyard sites across Marlborough’s Wairau Valley and Southern Valleys, where a combination of free-draining alluvial soils, long sunshine hours and cool nights produces intensely aromatic and highly expressive fruit.
