Dating back to the 16th century, the Mellot family winery hails from Sancerre and is today a leading light in the central Loire Valley . Their unique savoir-faire and exceptional wines have made them an ambassador for the wines of the region.
After pressing, a short period is allowed for the juice to settle. Fermentation then takes place at low temperatures in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. Named after the stony limestone soils on which the wines are grown, La Gravelière is a classic and poised Sancerre.
