About
Veuve Clicquot is one of Champagne’s most iconic houses, founded in 1772 and based in Reims. The estate is known for its bold, Pinot Noir-driven style and pioneering history under Madame Clicquot, who helped shape modern Champagne production.
Winemaking: Grapes are sourced from a wide network of Champagne vineyards, with a focus on Premier and Grand Cru sites. After gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel, reserve wines are blended to ensure consistency. The wine undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle and extended lees ageing to develop depth, richness and signature toasty character.
Vineyards: Sourced from across Champagne’s key regions including Montagne de Reims, Côte des Blancs and Vallée de la Marne, where chalk and limestone soils and a cool climate preserve acidity and enable slow, balanced ripening.
