The Turrentes grape is a green skinned grape grown only in Spain, and should not be confused with the Torrontes grape of Argentina, which is totally unrelated.
At present Turruntes is grown in a few small plots in the Rioja region of Spain, where it is used blended with other white grapes to produce white Rioja.
Turruntes is pale yellow with greenish hues. It has fruity aromas predominantly of apples, with a grassy, herbal nature. It is light on the palate, acidic and citrussy, with a short finish.
